Animal Reiki

Animal Reiki offers your companion a calm space to pause, rest and engage in their own way. Nikki does not force touch, restrain the animal or expect a particular response. The session is guided by observation, respectful distance and the animal’s choices.
This service may be chosen for
- A gentle wellbeing experience for a much-loved companion
- Times of household change, travel or adjustment
- Relief for older animals
- Rescue animals who may prefer low-pressure interaction
- A compassionate ritual alongside veterinary-led care
- End-of-life period where dignity and presence matter deeply
What to expect
A brief conversation before the session, careful attention to the environment, an animal-led Reiki offering and time afterwards to reflect on what was observed. No medical or behavioural outcome is promised.
Honouring Ceremonies
A gentle farewell for your beloved companion
Saying goodbye to a beloved animal is one of life’s most difficult moments. Our companions give us unconditional love, unwavering loyalty and countless memories. A Sacred Paws Honouring Ceremony creates a peaceful, meaningful space in which you can pause, remember and say goodbye in a way that feels personal to your family.
The ceremony is not about rushing through a painful day. It is about honouring your companion’s life, acknowledging the bond you shared and releasing them with love. Nikki gently holds the space while you choose whether to speak, remain silent, pray, share memories or simply be together.
What may be included
- A home visit in Radlett, Shenley, Elstree or Borehamwood; a small travel fee may apply to appointments more than five miles from Radlett Train Station.
- A gentle, individually prepared ceremony honouring your companion’s life
- The symbolic cleansing of your companion’s ashes with sage before scattering
- An optional symbolic sage blessing for those present
- Ceremonial-grade cacao infused with cinnamon and orange, shared as a quiet moment of comfort and reflection
- Time for silence, personal words, prayers, music or shared memories
- Respectful collection of unwanted blankets, bedding, toys and feeding bowls for donation to a local animal shelter
- Complete respect if you prefer to keep every treasured belonging

A ceremony shaped around your grief
There is no correct way to grieve. Some people need to talk; others need quiet. Some laugh while remembering a beloved animal’s character, while others cannot find words. Nikki’s role is not to conduct a formal funeral service or tell you how the moment should feel. It is to create a compassionate, steady environment where your family can honour your companion in the way that feels right.
A lasting gift of love
Some families find comfort in knowing that blankets, bowls or toys can continue to help animals waiting for homes. Donating these items is always optional. Keeping them is equally valid, and no decision will be judged.
Practical Note About Scattering Ashes
On your own land, permission is generally not required. For public land or land owned by someone else, obtain the landowner or relevant local authority’s permission before the ceremony. Rules may vary by location, so confirm the current requirements for your chosen place.
Food and fragrance Note
Please tell Nikki in advance about allergies, dietary restrictions, asthma, fragrance sensitivity or concerns about smoke. Cacao, cinnamon, orange and sage elements can be adapted or omitted.

Frequently ASked Questions
About Sacred Paws Services
Do I need to choose a service before contacting you?
No. You can explain what you and your animal are going through, and Nikki can describe the available options without pressure or promises.
Are services available outside Radlett?
Can elements be adapted?
Yes. A ceremony or spiritual ritual should never override safety, allergies, cultural preferences or personal boundaries. Discuss any element you would prefer to change or omit.
Are these veterinary or counselling services?
No. Sacred Paws does not provide veterinary diagnosis or treatment, psychotherapy, bereavement counselling or funeral-director services. Where specialist support is needed, contact an appropriately qualified professional.
Can I speak to Nikki before booking?
Yes. Please get in touch with any questions or to arrange a brief introductory conversation before booking. This gives you the opportunity to learn more about Nikki’s approach and decide whether it feels right for you and your animal.
