Every animal has their own personality, sensitivities and way of responding to new experiences. When you get in touch, you are welcome to share a little about your animal, their age, temperament, current circumstances and what has led you to consider Reiki. This helps Nikki understand their individual needs and explain how a session may be approached.
Sacred Paws offers a calm, compassionate and completely animal-led experience. Your animal will never be forced to participate, remain still or accept physical contact. They are free to move around, rest, approach, observe from a distance or leave the space whenever they choose. Wherever they are, they will receive the Reiki energy.
Reiki may be considered for animals who are feeling anxious, unsettled, recovering from illness or surgery, adjusting to a new home, experiencing age-related changes or simply in need of a peaceful moment of relaxation. It may also offer gentle comfort during difficult transitions or end-of-life care.
Nikki can talk you through what to expect before and during the appointment, and which option may be most appropriate for your animal. There is no obligation to book and no question is too small.

Is Reiki Right for Your Animal?
That is completely understandable. Every animal and situation is different. Nikki will be happy to explain her animal-led approach and help you decide whether a session feels appropriate for your companion.
Animal Reiki does not require an animal to remain still, accept physical contact or behave in a particular way. They remain free to move, rest, approach or keep their distance throughout the session.
Animal Reiki is a gentle, complementary wellbeing practice intended to support relaxation, emotional balance and a sense of calm.
Sessions are offered by Nikki, a qualified Animal Reiki practitioner and member of the UK Reiki Federation. Nikki works in a grounded, compassionate and animal-led way, allowing every animal to choose how they participate.
Reiki may be used alongside appropriate veterinary treatment, but it should never delay or replace advice from a qualified veterinary professional. If your animal is unwell, injured, in pain or showing any sudden change in their health or behaviour, please contact your vet promptly.
